Terms of use
These terms apply to the use of this informational website. They were last updated on October 31, 2026.
Informational only
The calculator, VIN helper, and articles are general information about published federal tax rules. They are not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and they do not create a professional relationship. Tax results depend on facts this site does not collect, including the rest of your return. You are responsible for what you file.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. Statutes, forms, and IRS drafts change. The 2026 Schedule 1-A discussed here is a draft. A VIN decode can be incomplete or wrong. The interest estimator assumes on-time monthly payments at a nominal APR divided by 12 and will not match a lender statement if you pay extra principal, prepay interest, or finance amounts that are not qualified. To the extent the law allows, the publisher disclaims warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for taxes, penalties, or interest that result from using the site.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or to present its output as an IRS determination. Trademarks of the IRS, NHTSA, and vehicle manufacturers belong to their owners. Linking to public IRS and NHTSA pages is for citation, not an endorsement by those agencies.
